Day 1: Arrive in Jammu and Drive to Srinagar
Upon arrival in Jammu, regardless of whether you travelled by train, flight, or vehicle, a scenic 7-8 hour drive to Srinagar awaits. As you journey from Jammu to Kashmir, the breathtaking views of the valley will unfold before your eyes.
Upon reaching the city, a representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to either a hotel or a luxurious houseboat. After checking in, you’ll have some time to unwind and recharge for the adventures ahead. Take a stroll along Boulevard Road, which offers stunning views of the Zabarwan Mountain Range. A serene shikara ride on Dal Lake is also a must-experience. Following your relaxing excursion, return to your hotel and indulge in a delectable dinner.
Day 2: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar
Following a relaxing morning in Srinagar, where a delicious breakfast awaits you at your houseboat or hotel, you’ll embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Sonmarg, a stunning hill station perched at 9,000 ft, famously dubbed the ‘Meadow of Gold’. As you take in the awe-inspiring vistas of Srinagar, you’ll make your way to this picturesque destination, where a range of exhilarating treks and adventures await. Spend the day exploring the beauty of Sonmarg, whether on a thrilling pony ride or marvelling at the majestic Thajiwas Glacier, creating lifelong memories. As the day draws to a close, you’ll return to Srinagar, where a comfortable overnight stay awaits you at the same location.
Day 3: Srinagar Sightseeing
It is time to explore the city more closely where you shall meet the locals, explore the market enjoy some local food and whatnot. Post your breakfast at the stay you will then be taken to Mughal Gardens, CheshmaShahi or the ‘Royal Spring’, PariMahal or the ‘Palace of the Fairies’, Shalimar Bagh or the ‘Garden of Love’, Nishat Garden or the ‘Garden of Pleasure’, Shankaracharya Temple and the Tulip Garden. All these gardens are close to one another and are quite incredible.
On the way back to your stay, you must also gather some Handicraft Emporium, enjoy watching the carpet-making traditions and buy some incredible paper-based creations and art. For jewellery lovers, there is also traditional jewellery they can buy.
Day 4: Drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg
Following your stay in Srinagar, you’ll embark on a journey to Gulmarg, famously known as the ‘Meadow of Flowers’. While it’s closer to Srinagar than Sonmarg, adventure seekers can opt for a 3- to 4-hour trek from Gulmarg to Khilangmarg.
After fueling up with breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be driven to Gulmarg, a renowned skiing hub. Be sure to pack your camera to capture the breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat. You’ll spend the day exploring this picturesque destination before proceeding to Pahalgam the next day.
Day 5: Drive from Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Embark on an unforgettable adventure in Pahalgam, aptly nicknamed the ‘Valley of the Shepherds’. As you delve into this natural wonderland, you’ll discover a trail that will leave you spellbound for years to come. The essence of this tour lies in the thrill and joy it brings, so be sure to soak it all in.
En route to Pahalgam, a picturesque saffron garden awaits, inviting you to linger awhile. Following this visit, you’ll arrive at your Pahalgam hotel, where a well-deserved day of relaxation awaits.
