Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
Upon landing at Delhi Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative, who will escort you to your pre-arranged hotel. After checking in, you’ll have the remainder of the day to unwind and relax at your own pace. In the afternoon, embark on a comprehensive city tour, exploring the contrasting charms of Old and New Delhi. This guided excursion will take you to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate – a poignant tribute to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I and the Afghan War, with the names of the fallen heroes etched on its walls. You’ll also visit the majestic Parliament House, the presidential residence of Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the historic Red Fort. The tour will also stop at the majestic Qutab Minar, the serene Humayun’s Tomb, and Raj Ghat, a poignant memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. As the day draws to a close, retire to your hotel in Delhi for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi – Varanasi (Vande Bharat Express train at 6 am)
Begin your day by boarding your train to Varanasi at the railway station. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our representative, who will escort you to your hotel. This ancient city, also known as Kashi or Banaras, boasts a rich history as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Its scenic location on the banks of the River Ganga adds to its charm. The city’s name is derived from the confluence of two rivers: Varuna, which still flows through Varanasi, and Assi, a small stream near Assi Ghat.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit Sarnath, a revered Buddhist pilgrimage site located 13 kilometres northeast of Varanasi’s city centre, where the Gomati and Ganga Rivers meet. The Sarnath Complex is home to the remnants of ancient Buddhist monasteries and Stupas, which date back to 3 BCE to 12 CE. As the day comes to a close, we’ll experience the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti.
You’ll spend the night in Varanasi, soaking up the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
Day 3: Varanasi Local Sightseeing
Experience the essence of Varanasi with our guided tour, featuring iconic attractions such as Manikarnika Ghat, the world’s largest cremation ground, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Assi Ghat, and the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, as well as the sacred site of Sarnath.
Begin your day with a serene boat ride on the Ganges, witnessing the mystical Subah-e-Banaras. As the sun rises, take in the spiritual atmosphere along the riverbanks, where you’ll catch glimpses of Varanasi’s famous ghats, including Manikarnika, Dashashwamedh, and Assi.
Following the boat ride, delve into the city’s rich spiritual heritage with visits to the legendary Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other notable temples, including Annapurna and Kaal Bhairav.
After breakfast, explore the esteemed Banaras Hindu University (BHU) before embarking on an excursion to Sarnath, a site of great historical significance where Lord Buddha delivered his inaugural sermon at Deer Park. Discover the area’s treasures, including the Buddha Temples, Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Archaeological Museum.
Conclude your day with an overnight stay in Varanasi, allowing you to fully absorb the city’s unique energy and charm.
Day 4: Varanasi – Ayodhya
Experience the essence of Ayodhya with a visit to its iconic landmarks, including the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, the majestic Kanak Bhawan, the historic Karsevakpuram, the poignant Tulsi Smarak, the sacred Hanuman Garhi, and the serene Saryu River.
Following a refreshing breakfast, embark on a morning journey to Ayodhya, arriving in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city’s spiritual heritage. Return to the hotel in the evening and unwind with an overnight stay in Ayodhya.
Day 5: Ayodhya – Varanasi Departure (By Vande Bharat Express train at 3 PM)
Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Varanasi railway station in the morning, where you’ll catch your train to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, head to your pre-arranged hotel and complete the check-in formalities. The remainder of the day will be spent in Delhi, with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Delhi – Agra via Mathura (Approx 220 Kms)
Embark on a spiritual journey to the sacred cities of Mathura and Vrindavan, the revered birthplace and childhood abode of Lord Krishna. Our day begins with an early morning departure from the hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Agra. En route, we’ll visit the iconic temples that dot the landscape, including Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple, Banke Bihari Temple, Govinda Dev Temple, and ISKCON Temple. Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Hindu devotional prayers and explore the hallowed grounds of Krishna Janma Bhoomi, among other notable attractions.
Take a break to savour the local flavours with a regional lunch, and then continue your sightseeing adventure. As the day draws to a close, we’ll proceed to Agra, where you’ll check in to your pre-booked hotel and unwind. Congratulations, you’ve completed the third day of your Golden Triangle Tour!
The evening is at your leisure, allowing you to relax and recharge for the next day’s adventures. Overnight, rest comfortably in Agra, ready to take on the wonders that await you.
Day 7: Agra Sightseeing
Embark on a thrilling Agra sightseeing adventure, accompanied by our expert Tour Guide, after a delicious breakfast. Today’s itinerary is packed with three iconic attractions: the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Itmad-ud-Daula Fort.
First, marvel at the Taj Mahal, a stunning monument and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built this majestic white marble structure as a tribute to his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. As a symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal is an architectural masterpiece that has captured the hearts of visitors from around the globe.
Following the Taj Mahal tour, take a break to savour a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. Then, proceed to Agra Fort, a magnificent structure constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. This impressive fort complex features notable attractions like the Moti Masjid and Musanman Burj and is said to be the site where Shah Jahan was imprisoned and eventually passed away.
Next, visit the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daula Fort, often referred to as the “Baby Taj” due to its striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal. This beautiful Mughal mausoleum is also known as the “Jewel Box” and is a testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage.
As the day draws to a close, explore the local market to discover the intricate Marble Artwork that has been perfected by the descendants of the Taj Mahal’s original builders and artists. After a fulfilling day, return to your hotel and unwind.
The evening is at your leisure, and you’ll spend the night in Agra, marking the successful completion of the Seventh day of your Golden Triangle Tour.
Day 8: Delhi – Departure
Following check-out from your hotel after breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Delhi Airport or Railway station, marking the beginning of your journey to your next destination.
